1

Top 10 best selling cars last month: In September 2023, the Indian automobile industry witnessed historic growth in sales, setting a new record just ahead of the festive season, which was a peak demand period for car manufacturers. The industry leader, Maruti Suzuki, secured its position among the top 10 best-selling cars of the last month with six of its models. Despite significant growth in sales of SUVs and utility vehicles, small cars dominated the charts. Lets take a closer look at all of these car models.

1. Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Maruti Suzuki Baleno, launched last year, maintained a strong presence on the sales chart. With several features, the Baleno achieved sales of 18,417 units in September. While this figure represents a modest 5% decline compared to the same month last year, the Baleno continues to enjoy popularity in Indian markets and hence made the Maruti Suzuki Baleno one of the top 10 best selling cars last month.

The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Set to Make Thrilling Debut in India

0
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

India can look forward to the arrival of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R by year-end, and this new 6R model is making a triumphant return with a stylish makeover and a host of exciting features, marking its comeback after a hiatus of over three years. Some time ago, we had specially mentioned that Kawasaki was bringing the ZX-4R to India. Now we can tell you that the company is also preparing to reintroduce its popular ZX6R in our market.

Key Highlights of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

  • Same engine as before, but now compliant with BS6.2.
  • Completely new design, TFT display now comes with Bluetooth.
  • Now running on Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tires.

After the implementation of BS6 standards, the sale of Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R came to a halt in India. At that time, we assumed that this would be the end of the line for the 6R – as it happened with almost every other 600cc super sport worldwide. However, Kawasaki surprised us when they brought back the 6R for 2023, which now comes with Euro 5 compliance and several updates.

Cosmetic changes

Cosmetic changes in the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

The most significant change is in its new face. This is a good thing because the previous 6R had shared its front design theme with several other Kawasakis, which diminished its uniqueness. Presently, the 6R boasts newly integrated LED headlights that complement an appealing, redesigned windscreen. The side fairing panels are also different and now incorporate subtle integrated winglets similar to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R.

The rear section and tail lamp, among other parts of the bike, remain the same as the current model. However, another important change is that the 6R now comes with Bluetooth compatibility and a new 4.3-inch TFT display. The final visual change is that the Kawasaki petal discs have been replaced with conventional round units.

Features of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

New features of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

Speaking of features, the new 6R gets three levels of traction control, three power modes, and three riding modes. A fun fact is that the new TFT display also includes an eco-riding indicator, although it may not be of much use on a bike like this. The 6R gets a quickshifter, but there’s no mention of it being bi-directional. Considering that the 6R still has a cable-operated throttle, it’s likely to remain a quick-shifter for upshifts only.

Engine capacity

Engine Capacity of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

The engine is a familiar 636cc four-cylinder screamer with a 16,000rpm redline. The main changes are aimed at meeting emission standards, and in the process, the bike has lost a bit of power and torque. Peak power is down from 130hp to 129hp, while peak torque has reduced from 70.8Nm to 69Nm.

Competition in India

In India, the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has no direct competitor, and in terms of specs and price, the Triumph Street Triple RS will come closest. The Triumph is slightly lighter (188kg vs. 198kg) and a bit more powerful, producing 130 hp. The Street Triple also packs more torque throughout the rev range, making for a significantly different riding experience.

Expected pricing of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

As for the price, when the old ZX6R was launched, it was priced below INR 11 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and we expect the new one to be priced between INR 11.50 lakh to 12 lakh. The bike should be launched in India by the end of 2023, and if Kawasaki launches it at that price, it will be positioned similarly to the INR 11.80 lakh Street Triple RS.

We are definitely looking forward to test ride this new beast from Kawasaki stable as soon as it hits the showrooms here in India.

Eminem – Stronger Than I Was

We woke reasonably late following the feast and free flowing wine the night before. After gathering ourselves and our packs, we headed down to our homestay family’s small dining room for breakfast.

Refreshingly, what was expected of her was the same thing that was expected of Lara Stone: to take a beautiful picture.

We were making our way to the Rila Mountains, where we were visiting the Rila Monastery where we enjoyed scrambled eggs, toast, mekitsi, local jam and peppermint tea.

We wandered the site with other tourists

Yet strangely the place did not seem crowded. I’m not sure if it was the sheer size of the place, or whether the masses congregated in one area and didn’t venture far from the main church, but I didn’t feel overwhelmed by tourists in the monastery.

Headed over Lions Bridge and made our way to the Sofia Synagogue, then sheltered in the Central Market Hall until the recurrent (but short-lived) mid-afternoon rain passed.

Feeling refreshed after an espresso, we walked a short distance to the small but welcoming Banya Bashi Mosque, then descended into the ancient Serdica complex.

We were exhausted after a long day of travel, so we headed back to the hotel and crashed.

I had low expectations about Sofia as a city, but after the walking tour I absolutely loved the place. This was an easy city to navigate, and it was a beautiful city – despite its ugly, staunch and stolid communist-built surrounds. Sofia has a very average facade as you enter the city, but once you lose yourself in the old town area, everything changes.

Clothes can transform your mood and confidence. Fashion moves so quickly that, unless you have a strong point of view, you can lose integrity. I like to be real. I don’t like things to be staged or fussy. I think I’d go mad if I didn’t have a place to escape to. You have to stay true to your heritage, that’s what your brand is about.
